The Grain Rain of 2026, one of the 24 solar terms in China, marks the 17th International Chinese Language Day designated by the United Nations. As a global language embodying a civilization spanning millennia, Chinese is increasingly integrated into the global digital ecosystem with openness and inclusiveness, serving as a vital bridge for fostering mutual learning among diverse civilizations and broadening the horizons of human understanding.
HSK is an international standardized Chinese test sponsored by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) of the Ministry of Education and globally operated and promoted by Chinese Testing International Co., Ltd.(CTI). HSK scores have become essential proof for international students applying for admission, graduation, and scholarships in China, and can be used as points for foreigners to apply for work visas in China. Currently, global learners can take the HSK test at 1,477 test centers across 168 countries to achieve their Chinese language dreams.
To celebrate the 2026 International Chinese Language Day and respone to the call from CLEC with the theme of "Chinese: Sparking Colorful Dreams", highlight the bridging role of Chinese in cross-cultural communication, and support Chinese learners worldwide in realizing their dreams of intercultural communication, CTI, together with FUDAN-CTI Innovation Center, will organize the "Through Chinese, View the World" HSK Short-video Competition. This event aims to establish a collaborative platform for Chinese enthusiasts in China and abroad, encourage Chinese language enthusiasts worldwide to tell colourful stories in Chinese, capture diverse cultures through the lens, discover a broader world through language practice, and work together to build a community with a shared future for mankind through exchange and sharing.
